Moving Services

Some folks have moved many times and have worked with multiple moving companies, so they have a good idea of how the process unfolds. For other folks, it may have been quite some time since they have moved, or they have never hired a moving company to do the heavy lifting. Giving our customers an idea of how Yarborough’s Moving Service conducts moves offers valuable information that can be used in planning for the adventure ahead.

The Moving Process

Every move, be it local, intrastate, or interstate, follows a similar pattern to ensure efficiency and care. Here’s an overview of how we conduct our moves

1.  The Initial Walkthrough

Our crew begins with a walk-through of your home. This allows us to visualize how to pack the moving truck most effectively.

2.  Packing Order

While each move is unique, we typically start with dining room furniture, followed by living room furniture. Next, we move on to bedrooms, and finally, we tackle the garage and outdoor furniture.

3.  Loading the Truck

As we load your furniture, we use your boxes to secure items in place and balance the weight of the truck. Our team’s expertise makes this process look like a well-organized Tetris puzzle, ensuring that your belongings are packed efficiently and safely.

4.  Protection & Security

Our crew comes equipped with a variety of gadgets and tools to protect your belongings and secure them on the truck.

Supplies

The team will come equipped with a range of gadgets and tools to safeguard your belongings and secure them in the truck. Here's a list of the standard supplies they bring along

Moving Blankets

Moving blankets are thick, padded coverings used to protect furniture and other items from damage during a move. They cushion and shield belongings from scratches, dents, and other potential harm while in transit.

Carpet Dolly

An open carpet dolly is a flat, wheeled platform used for moving large, heavy items over any type of surface. Its open design allows for easy maneuvering and handling of various shapes and sizes.

Padded Hand Trucks

A padded hand truck is a wheeled cart with cushioned surfaces designed to transport heavy or bulky items safely. The padding helps prevent scratches and damage to the items being moved.

Rachet Straps

Ratchet straps are adjustable, heavy-duty straps with a ratcheting mechanism used to secure loads during moving. They provide tight, reliable fastening to keep items stable and prevent shifting during transit.

Rubber Bands

Rubber bands used for moving are large, heavy-duty bands that secure blankets and other protective coverings around furniture and other items, keeping them in place during transit.

Tool Box

A mover's toolbox contains essential tools such as screwdrivers, wrenches, pliers, and utility knives. These tools are used to disassemble and reassemble furniture, as well as to handle any on-the-spot adjustments needed during the move.
